How We Can Help

Booking our Room?
Booking functions at My Bar is easy. We have a non-refundable $500 hire fee, this acts as a booking confirmation and once the hire fee is paid the room is yours for the night. As a bonus, we have NO MINIMUM SPEND. Due to the high demand for the function room, we always recommend you pay the hire fee as soon as possible to secure your function and avoid missing out on the space.

Easy Catering Options
We offer a range of catering options and also welcome outside catering. Please note, that we are a small bar, and do not have a full commercial kitchen. If in doubt, just ask, we are more than happy to help. Alternatively, you can leave it up to us as we have a tapas plates and platter menu available.

Extensive Drinks Options
We specialise in New Zealand craft beers and boutique wines and quality spirits and our lists, are updated every couple of weeks to reflect the season and showcase new products. Please note we do not do cocktails in the function room. BYO is not available. You are welcome to run a tab during your event just talk to our staff on the night.

Can we play our own music?
The function room features a sound system, with fully independent controls. Our music system can be used during your event and is Bluetooth compatible which can be connected to our sound system in the bar.

Terms and Conditions
Our function room hire is subject to a few terms and conditions that are fairly standard in most hospitality establishments.
FAQs
Q: How late can we have the room?
A: As long as your party is still in full swing the room is yours for the night. The bar closes at 2am on both Friday and Saturday, and 1am during the week.
Q: Are we allowed to have family members who are under 18 at the event?
A: As long as their parent is with them throughout the function we are happy to have younger family members at your function.
Q: Are we allowed to bring in our own alcohol or soft drinks?
A: Unfortunately we do not have a BYO license and therefore all drinks must be purchased through the bar. Anyone who is caught with their own alcohol will be immediately asked to leave.
Q: Can we have a DJ for our event?
A: We have inputs for DJ equipment but please come in and talk to us if you’re looking at having a DJ, as they have to plug in directly to our sound system.
